DATAFILE: CFCl3(CFC-11)_McGillen(2013)_216K_184.95-230nm.txt
NAME: fluorotrichloromethane (CFC-11)
FORMULA: CFCl3(CFC-11)
AUTHOR(YEAR): McGillen(2013)
T: 216K
λ: 184.95-230nm
BIBLIOGRAPHY: M.R. McGillen, E.L. Fleming, C.H. Jackman, and J.B. Burkholder, "CFCl3 (CFC-11): UV absorption spectrum temperature dependence measurements and the impact on its atmospheric lifetime and uncertainty", Geophys. Res. Lett., 40, 4772–4776 (2013); DOI: 10.1002/grl.50915
COMMENTS: The experimental apparatus consisted of a light source, either a 30 W deuterium (D2) lamp or low-power Hg (184.95 nm), Zn (213.856 nm), or Cd (228.802 nm) atomic lamps, a jacketed Pyrex absorption cell, a 0.25 m monochromator with a photomultiplier tube (PMT) detector used with the D2 light source, or a photodiode detector used with the atomic light sources

The wavelength of the monochromator was calibrated using the Hg, Zn, and Cd lamp output to
±0.1 nm, and the measurements were made at a spectral resolution of ∼1 nm (FWHM)

Parameterization of the temperature dependence valid over the 190−230 nm wavelength range and 216−296 K temperature range:

log10 (σ(λ,T)) = ∑i Ai (λ - 200)i + (296 – T) ∑i Bi (λ - 200)i

with the following parameters Ai and Bi:
